Michael Powell was thefirst to depart, as in the third over of the morning, he edged a lifting delivery from James Bruce, andwas caught by the substitute wicket-keeper Iain Brunnschweiler. Five overs later Matthew Maynard wasleg before to Chris Tremlett, and then next over Dean Cosker was l.b.w. to Bruce.Robert Croft and David Harrison briefly raised Welsh hopes, adding 24 in 4 overs, beforeHarrison drove at a ball outside off stump and gave wicket-keeper Brunnschweiler hissecond catch of the innings. Tremlett took his fifth wicket in his next over asRobert Croft was caught at second slip by Simon Katich. The same combination accounted for Adrian Dale, after he had added 15 with Michael Kasprowicz, as the Glamorgan collapse continued to 94-9.Alex Wharf brought up the hundred by swatting Tremlett for a six over square leg, and in thenext over he slashed Tremlett to the cover boundary for four. Katich then dropped a difficultcatch in the slips as Wharf got an edge to one from Tremlett, but he made amends in the next over by takinga fine diving catch to his right as Kasprowicz got a thick edge to a ball from Dimitri Mascarenhas.
