Tottenham Hotspur chief Fabio Paratici has held a meeting with agents in London as the Lilywhites now also eye an ‘extraordinary’ defender, according to Sky Sports.

The Lowdown: Spurs set for busy summer…

Having already confirmed both Ivan Perisic and Fraser Forster on Bosman deals, with a third in Premier League star Yves Bissouma reliably believed to be following them, it appears Spurs are showing no lack of ambition.

A full-back signing could well be next on the agenda for manager Antonio Conte as the north Londoners remain heavily linked with a Middlesbrough starlet Djed Spence.

Spurs have apparently been locked in talks over the 21-year-old, but according to Sky Italy (via Sky Sports), he may not be the only exciting wing-back on both Conte and Paratici’s agenda.

The Latest: Paratici holds talks…

The broadcast giant’s Lyall Thomas, sharing a development in the last 48 hours, now claims that Paratici has met with the agents of Udinese left-back Destiny Udogie.

It is claimed that the exciting teenager’s representatives have been in London as they also work to lower their client’s valuation.

The Verdict: Get it done?

Conte would ideally like two full-back signings according to Dan Kilpatrick, one for each flank, and we believe Udogie would be a brilliant candidate.

Football Talent Scout Jacek Kulig recently raved over the 19-year-old’s sky high potential, calling the defender ‘versatile’ with ‘superb technique’ and ‘great positional sense’ (Facebook).

Udogie’s former manager, Gabriele Cioffi, branded the talent ‘extraordinary’ alongside Serie A teammates Lazar Samardzic and Brandon Soppy.

These plaudits point to a transfer target who stands out as one of Italian top flight’s most promising players and a potential coup for Spurs.
